Unit 14 - Style
gofugyourself.celebuzz.com
A "fashion police" website which mocks disastrous stylistic choices by celebrities. Have students choose five of the outfits and describe them using as many adjectives as they can. They can also write their own scathing review of pictures that they find.
An offline option is to use pictures cut out from magazines - find a diverse range of styles, formal and informal, beautiful and ugly, old-fashioned and new, as well as a range of materials, patterns and colours. Have the students work individually to describe the clothes (arranging the chairs so that the other students cannot see their picture) and then collect the pictures and have the class match the descriptions to the pictures.
Podcasts

Here are some interesting ESL podcasts that I found:
British Council Podcasts Great topics!
ELLLO Looks like a fun listening site, an incredible variety of topics.
PIE: Podcasts in English, Intermediate Level The podcasts are free, but transcripts and other exercises are not. British English.
Listen to English Good context for the listenings.
UGOEIGO Specifically for pronunciation
The Education Podcast Network Not limited to ESL; has podcasts on an incredible variety of subjects. Compiled by teachers. Some of the specifically English learning podcasts on this network are:
